PART-TIME FACILITIES ASSISTANT

(4 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM WITH FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED UP TO 16 HOURS PER WEEK)
GRADE LC1 – SCP (15-17) £ 17,972 to £18,672 per annum pro rata

The Town Council is seeking to appoint a part time Facilities Assistant, to ensure the Town Council’s assets are managed in a manner that complies with statutory standards and to achieve a good standard of maintenance. Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Facilities Assistant will primarily be carrying out health and safety routine checks, assets and inventory audits, minor repairs and handy person duties, and the set up of the outdoor market stalls which requires early morning attendance once a week.
The successful candidate should have a background in minor maintenance work and DIY. Knowledge of Health and Safety at work will be a bonus but training will be provided. He/she will assist the Asset Manager in the delivery of any Town Council major maintenance projects and management surveys and would include attendance on site to grant access to contractors and deal with minor issues.
